Today, on 11 January 2026, I, A. S. M. Waheeeduzzaman, Chairman of Eastern Insurance PLC. met Ambassador Md. Nazrul Islam, PhD, Secretary (Bilateral) & Inspector General of Missions in his office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka.
I took the opportunity to discuss about our five upcoming new insurance products (policies), where our Eastern Insurance PLC. has thought about more than one crore Bangladeshis working abroad leaving behind their beloved families and children in Bangladesh, specially the students of their families.
In this context, I sought assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to disseminate our plan (specially Students’ Health and Critical Illness) to our country people working abroad through our missions abroad.
Ambassador H. E. Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam, PhD, Secretary of Foreign Ministry assured me to facilitate at the Ministry’s convenience.
