Mr. Mohammad Tofazzel Hossain, FCA (ICAB), CPA (Ireland), CPFA (CIPFA-U.K.), is anindependent Director of Eastern insurance Company Ltd. Mr. Hossain a also a Director of Bangladeshindustrial Finance Company Limited (BIFC). Currently, he is the Managing Partner of HossainChowdhury & Co., Chartered Accountants. He has over 30 years hands on experience, both at homeand abroad. Mr. Hossain worked as an international Civil Servant with UNDP, UN-Women andUNHCR in a number of countries, such as Sudan, Afghanistan, South-Sudan, Zimbabwe andBangladesh as the Head of Finance, Operations Manager and Head of oversight. He also worked asDirector Finance, Head of Finance & Accounts, Manager-Audit and several other important positionsand contributed to the betterment of the organizations/companies. He has developed businessprocess, SOPs and different polices and introduced system and procedures for differentcompanies/organization. Mr Hossain conducted huge number of capacity assessments for differentorganizations and identified capacity gaps including developing of capacity development plan as wellas conducted trainings. He has extended level of knowledge and capacity on effective budgetmanagement including aid effectiveness and utilization of scares resources effectively. Mr. Hossaindid his master’s in accounting and is a fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants ofBangladesh (ICAB). Mr. Hossain is also a member of the CPA, Ireland and CIFPA-UK. Mr. Hossain isa certified Procurement Professional from CIPS as well as an expert on Forensic Accounting andFraud Examination (FAFE)
